Legal only weddings

A “legals only” wedding is the ultimate fuss-free option for couples who want to be officially married without the fanfare of a traditional ceremony. Think of it as a registry-office-style wedding, but held in a comfortable, relaxed, or meaningful location of your choice. It is simple, intimate, and highly cost-effective, typically taking less than ten minutes to complete.

During a legals only ceremony, the focus is strictly on meeting the legal requirements to ensure your marriage is valid under law. As your celebrant, I will speak the mandatory legal wording (the Monitum), and you will exchange your legal vows in front of your two witnesses.

There are no lengthy speeches, but you can exchange rings ,—just the essential legal phrasing and the signing of the marriage certificates. This option is incredibly popular for couples who are eloping, those planning a large destination wedding overseas later, or anyone who simply prefers a private, low-key moment to make it official.
